From Gibson Potteries of Burslem, England is a large capacity teapot with a floral transfer design and hand painted gold decoration. The lid and handle are of a angled oval shape that's unusual, accentuating the 1950's feel of this vintage piece. The teapot still bears the paper sticker showing the Union Jack. the backstamp on the base is that used during the 1950's era. This teapot is in excellent condition - has all over crazing of the glaze, but no chips or cracks. It measures 9 inches from handle to spout, and is 6 1/2 inches tall. Made in England.
